3. Observer Effect:
This change in behavior due to observation is known as the observer effect. It suggests that the act of measuring or observing a quantum system can alter its state. In the double-slit experiment, the interaction with the detector forces the particle to "choose" a path, collapsing its wave function and eliminating the interference pattern, according to the Physics Van.
4. Not Conscious Observation:
It's crucial to note that the observer effect in the double-slit experiment is not due to conscious awareness. The change in behavior happens due to the interaction with the measuring device, regardless of whether a conscious observer is present, according to a YouTube video.

This insidious and pervasive use of the word "observe" is causing so much confusion. People interpret it to mean things change if you look, or if someone is consciously aware of it ... but no. To observe which way the photon went it has to interact with something. Once it has interacted its future is far more limited.

So what may happen is quantum entanglement with an electronic device ? Or if measurement is done over a short distance there"s potentially electric fields that collapse the wave. The measurement effect may have been checked over a moderate distance, to see if the wave pattern collapses out of any local field ? Review of this phenomenon doesn't invalidate quantum physics as that's been verified by quantum entanglement in one case (with working quantum internet comm's), and by working qubits (proof of concept) in the other case (though quantum computers with limited qubit noisiness are still being improved.). Measurement effects need more investigation.
